Aesthetics
Takes us to beauty
Which takes me to smiling faces
This is a most rewarding activity
Knowledge alone though is not sufficient
Even if pleasurable
Beautiful, expressive

Most days I would try to write a poem; it is a practice, as I suppose is meditation, or smiling, or watching the world go by
Aesthetics

Which takes me to smiling faces
This is a most rewarding activity
Knowledge alone though is not sufficient
Even if pleasurable

Two men talking
Sat on yellow chairs
With a light turquoise sea
For the outline
My very writing of these words
Changes the perspective
Of how being creative
Interrupts the spirituality
Or alternatively
By my engagement
I can find understanding
What kind of experience is it
Aesthetics and epistemology
Separate from theology
Not all art has anything
To do with religion
How do minds work
What am I aware of
What am I not aware of
Which works spark the hypothesis
There was a love
Which I bumped into
A whirlwind of love as if a waltzer at the fair
Yet this love
Pushed itself away
Time and again
Until finally
Love gathered sufficient courage
To say that its time was over
There was no going back
This love
Could be a lover no more
Years of heartache followed
Even now
Which does more for me
Than any other
Maybe also for you
This part of me
Does more for you than any other
This part of me
I might call
My curricular excelsior
Maybe also for you
My curricular excelsior
Is the better part of me
And for me
What part of you
Does more for me than any other
Oh that I should tell you
But if I did, then before very long
All of your friends would know
One more step
Another note
With its own inflection
Before one departs
To spend quiet time
With the brothers
In this way
The mind is given
Time and space
With the hope
Of achieving calm
And clarity of purpose
The music being
Only a minor distraction
