Pristine

You took your time, to look so good
You stole my mind, they said you would

With half a sign, the half that almost misunderstood
More than half unkind, the half that knew I no how should
We danced the line, swayed, yet somehow leaning stood
I said you're mine, pray venture, to flow deep within my blood
Time stood still, as if our place was under the rainbows hood
We cared for the thrill, spilt the rest, left unfulfilled in bluebell wood
Daylong nights took their toll, our play turned bad, we'd had it good
We departed, the drift to roll; our hopelessness started, we knew it could

You look so good, I took my time
I dreamt you would, you appear quite sublime

Flirtatious

Cockatiel & coffee cup
Steal the dreams of able
Sit there by the mirage fair
Cards laid on the table

Ace is high but draw it slow
Takes a while for love to show
Kings and Queens they stand in line
Touch their breath & pray for time

One and one is, as could never be
Mismatched beside the stable
All to hope is all can change
Witness sent by telegraph cable

Visitation

Another teatime supermarket cafe
At the end of a rainy day in Yorkshire
Should I stay or should I walk away
Who is that, sat, at the table in the corner

I replay the mind games, where she slays
Where her movement is there in time
Soft skin, wrapped around the sounds of violin
Let me leave you now, to go become the loner

Twisted scarf, tied up hair, arm that moves
With thoughts so fair; should I stay, fill my coffee
To the brim, ask: are you my sweetest Rose, or
Are you the unfaithful, faithless Desdemona

It all adds up

I feel you in my bones
Your whole you
Unfolds within my body
I smile, as your thoughts
Play with those in my mind
In this there becomes
A new entity
An entirety; more than one
With faith enough to move on
Courage gathered to go forwards

I cannot physically
Embrace you; not in
A screen filled photograph
I cannot chase you down
The sepia tone path
I no longer expect
Special journeys
Into the supernatural
Although we once believed
In the power of transference
Didn't we? Didn't we?

The pampas grass
Is blown vigorously
In this the windswept
Stormed & saturated
North of England

Not as the calm palms
Of the warm sunshine
Island’s waterfront
Where the promenade
Once walked with me

Mirrors

Beautiful people
Central vacation
Hair and beauty and

Food; for her body
and her soul brothers
