Doing Nothing

a warm fall day,

learning from this rock

to do nothing

Paul O. Williams

————————————————

Take no action

Leave nothing done

Or should it be undone

Never at peace

Within, or without

Even the solidity of hope

On top of the rock

Was impermanent

Yet now

Thousands of miles away

On Black Rock Beach

With the emptiness

With the spaciousness

With the miles of sand

With the apparent peace
