Most days I would try to write a poem; it is a practice, as I suppose is meditation, or smiling, or watching the world go by

Sparkle
Quiet winds,
you have moved on
left your silence in our minds
behind you
We listen to the chimes
the fairy lights sway
We wait for the rains to arrive
then to do their beating
Last years shutters are drawn
the carriages are called
It is the turn of the season
and a time for new departures
The door lock clocks another cog
we go our separate ways
I am once again in a mind to hurry
that it is the way; so it has to be
The hope that sought such
slight forgiveness
Weathered, without vane
it is priming up the band
The silent winds are waiting
by the sunlit softened sand
Once again, together my love
we mind ourselves to dance
