To Be Is Not Alone Enough

White board

Wipe away

Move on

Gone

You travelled through

Some deep synapses

Erase, erasure

To lose, your loss as saviour

Quarantine

Quarantine or delete

Loosening links

Leveraging linkages

Opening wounds

Bound

Sealed

Slowly healed

Turn to

To find a sense

To find a purpose

To be is not alone enough

Buy some time

Rebuild the memories

Work out the why

Anticipate the when

Cosmos

There’s a thousand million

Sparkling tinkling waltzing refractions

There’s a never ending chorus

Of pebbles, of waves

The zephyr’s blown in over the Dolomites

Travelling with some softness, some certainty

The migration has begun

Freshwater havens, seaside lakes are forsaken

Cotton wool clouds

Around the sky blue sky, surrounding silver tints

Above, a thousand million, maybe even a zillion

Sparkling tinkling star bright illuminations

Hollow Score

All that went before

Has gone

Gone before

Creation crept along

Slipped the sand

From beneath the shoes

Chapel, church

All that went before

Has gone before

Familiarity swept along

A carpet ride

From an hollow floor

Mother, Father

All that went before

Has gone, gone before

Too Many Times Of Parting

Void, devoid of direction

Not even thoughts

Of a misconception

Vacuous open universe

Standing in that bedroom there

Not knowing where to turn

Late autumn, early evening

Too many times of parting

Starting over again, restarting

Sitting on the second seat there

On the train from nowhere

Mid winter, morning, day

Too many times of parting

Starting over again, restarting

Laying in that churchyard there

In the unknown village

Some summer Sunday afternoon

Too many times of parting

Starting over again, restarting

Sleeping on that single bed there

In the student’s dormitory room

Spent it all, then spent some more

Too many times of parting

Start over again, restarting

Seeing Is Believing

Darkness

Real Darkness

Black lines on black skies

Inside the womb

Inside the tomb

Darkness

Shaft of light

White light

White lines on a white sky

Outside the womb

Beyond the tomb

Lightness
