Presently

I see the roadside rows
Of  leaning leafless trees
They are in relief, against a plain grey sky
In this moment I am mindful

I see the distant sodium lights
Set out along the coastline
They are shining, beneath a plain grey sky
In this moment I am mindful

I hear music on the car stereo
Jim Morrison in full flow
His mojo is working, on his LA Woman
In those few moments I was mindful

Natures Gifted & Wondrous Feelings

White silver sun
In a fog grey sky
Such excitable urges

Frosted tree and hedgerow
Mist over the frozen fields
Such intimate desires

Snow drifts up the hillside
Ice forms on the river bank
Such passions are aroused

Vapour of woman’s breath
Echoes of winter’s scents
Such a magnificent climax

Soft, rich crimson, energising sunrise
Silhouette’s the young man’s home
Such as to raise his new-day smile

Vibrations From Beneath The Skin

If you should search
For something almost lost forever
& most unexpectedly
Even one might say at an inconvenient moment
That thing should reappear

Imagine then the inappropriate occurrence
Whilst caressing or massaging her shoulder
Stroking her thigh; foreplay as a woman does
To achieve that remembered sensual effect
Deep into her erogenous zone

Without substance, yet heavy with meaning

As if the untethered float of air
Less weight than a real thought
Free, with every cup of coffee
Free, with every singles walk
Beside the endless canal

Half seen, half heard
Half sensed, half smelt
Half hearted attempt
To wash over, wipe out
Visits to the supermarket

As if in a daydream of silence
Less light than a real hip-hooray
To pay for, with your every pause
To pay for, with each sitting
In that comfortable chair

Impetuous

Still, still night
Soft spoken voices of love
Permeate, drift beneath
The hotel bedroom window

He is deeply interested
In her lead-on words
She is encouraged
By his warm laughter

Stay, stay the night
I listen to their voices
We cannot resist
This life of temptations
