Six Four Six

Taw head
River Erme
Cascades of ritual
Sacrificial passages
Swirling ponds cold water
Cold as ice

River, rill, rivulet
Cascade of ritual
Sacrificial
Passages

Streams of consciousness
Trout and stickleback
Splash about
Games
Games by the river
By the streams of consciousness

Clear Water

Bhagavad Gita
As it is, as it ever was
Behind Proust
& Evelyn Waugh
Pennies from Heaven
From five to eleven
Too many coincidences
My seven senses tell me
Remonstrate and castigate
Harden up the will
Forge some strata
Put some clear water
Between you and you

Masthead

Flags in the park
Bring light to dark
Reflect stark perfection
Miles of orange cloth
Unveiled, curtailed
Sails for a city’s soul
Creation, core declaration
Stores of ideas, enthusiasm’s
Making something solid
Plastic, clay and vision
Monumental decision
Open to derision
Abounding joy
Abound in joy

Revealed

Knocked about
Rough edges smoothed over
Rough diamond
A touch too smooth

Shaped by all
That society could muster
Trusted too many pamphlets
Too many self-help books

Stripping bare
Is not an alternative
For the King
With too many clothes

Rivulet

Wave crash
Whiplash
Onward
Unknown soldier
Wave crash
Sea splash
Oceans grow
Ever deeper, ever colder
Salt water drains
Across bitumen tarmac
Lit by starlight; the streetlight
Goes as nowhere
Rain water
Drains into rivulets
Hidden, moss grown stones
Roll on, roll on over
Wave crash
Pebble-dash
Inward, homeward
Onward, boulder
Wave crash
Cars smash
Society’s apart
Grown colder
